BIM Healthcare architecture is complex and difficult to perceive in its entirety. As a result, designers and the construction industry have begun to focus on three-dimensional object modeling; in literal terms, this means constructing the entire building on the computer to ensure that there are no conflicts among consulting disciplines in the field. We are currently working 100% in REVIT, which employs BIM object design. Building Information Modeling allows us to virtually build the entire structure to review and track spatial relationships, quantities and properties of building components. Materials, systems, assemblies, and sequences are able to be shown in a relative scale with the entire facility or group of facilities. This tracking of information coincides with the creation of the construction documents from the same database of information. Proteus Group was an early adopter of this technology and has been using it firm wide since 2006 no matter the size of the project. |
